Eurobot 2011

The ClubElek team will be a proudly 2011 contestant. The rules have just been disclosed and we’re already working as hard as we can to improve the technology we’ve developed and to innovate in new areas.

We’re ready to rock and roll !!

Chess' Up

Anyway, this year’s theme is chess. A modified version of it, but it’s still chess (You usually don’t know who’ll win until the last second).

Robots will have to build towers by stacking pawns with queens and kings. The highest the better. But that’s not all, robots must put their newly created chess pieces in the right team’s color to gain points.

What you should expect from this competition:

  • Everything is random, pieces might end anywhere so be careful.
  • Pieces won’t rest in the same place until the end of the match,ย  1 min 30 secs of continuous adrenaline rush for both the team and the robot ๐Ÿ˜‰

This year, strategy is very important, but solid foundations are needed to push imagination off-limits. This means priority should be where it has to be.

Finally there’s a move that will give you some extra points : take a pawn to the departure area and climb on it … ๐Ÿ˜€

The official rules can be found here, both in French and English.
